My family hired James for our mother's memorial service, and we could not have been more pleased. She loved Calypso music and did not want a sad funeral. James played appropriate pieces in a beautiful, light-handed way, creating a truly lovely atmosphere. Many people commented on how much they enjoyed his music and how it buoyed their spirits. James even learned a couple of my mother's favorite songs and played them island style, which really touched us all. We cannot thank him enough and highly recommend him.

James was very professional and engaging. The music was a big hit with our guests! The song selection was perfect for our luau party and his skill with the steel drum was amazing! Our guests are still sending us notes to say how much they loved the music. James also was more than happy to answer all the questions people had on the steel drum. We will definitely use JT's Island Steel again in the future and highly recommend to anyone looking for music for a party or special event. Thank you James!

Would absolutely have JT back for our next party. Several of our friends also plan to contact him for their private parties or events. Smooth and timely set up. Perfect music to invoke an air of island getaway. Volume is perfect for background and holding a conversation. Not too much in the background but not overwhelming to conversations. 5 Stars Plus....

James Taylor was AMAZING! This was a Hawaiian themed celebration of life. I asked James to play Jimmy Buffett and reggae type, Bob Marley music. He did just that! His music made the entire event just how I wanted. Every song was wonderful. Not only is he a phenomenal steel drum player, he knew hundreds of songs and I was so impressed. Thank you James for making such a hard day for our family a little brighter. I would absolutely recommend him to everyone. He was on time (early) set up and did the whole event beautifully.
