About Vendor

The most versatile, entertaining, and professional brass ensemble in New York & New Jersey. We made our premier at Lincoln Center in 2017 and have won The Knot "Best of Weddings" three times. We are PERFECT for weddings ceremonies and cocktail hours where you need a big, rich sound -- without amplification. We have a huge song list the spans the renaissance to baroque, classical to jazz, and pop to Broadway. The Chamberlain Brass musicians play with the finest ensembles in New York - The New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, St. Luke's Chamber Orchestra, American Symphony Orchestra, Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society, Radio City Music Hall. Our musicians studied at Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, Eastman School of Music and New England Conservatory. We look forward to working with you! Below are answers to questions we frequently receive about brass wedding music, the difference between The Chamberlain Brass Quintet and a traditional New York wedding band, how to choose instrumental/classical wedding ceremony music, pricing, bookings, and much more. If your question does not appear below or the answer is not satisfactory, please contact us. Why should I choose The Chamberlain Brass Quintet to play instrumental wedding music at my ceremony? There's nothing quite like the mood brass music creates; brass wedding music is the perfect choice for discriminating couples. Professionally played by the The Chamberlain Brass Quintet — not an ordinary New York wedding band — this brass ensemble will move you and your guests with beautiful, traditional wedding music, making your ceremony an elegant, memorable, once-in-a-lifetime affair. Which brass instruments are played? We follow the standard configuration for a classical brass quintet, which is: - Two Trumpets - French Horn - Trombone - Tuba How can I hear The Chamberlain Brass Quintet's music? Simply go listen to our audio samples to play our most popular wedding ceremony music. If you don't hear what you need, we can create custom arrangements to suit your needs; just ask. Is it possible to hear The Chamberlain Brass Quintet perform live before my wedding day? There's nothing quite like hearing your brass wedding music, live! Most of our perfomances are at private events, but we do sometimes play in public where you can hear us. Contact us for more information. What types of brass wedding music do you play? We play classical, jazz, and traditional wedding music. On the Samples page, popular instrumental wedding music can be heard. Again, if you have other selections in mind, please talk to us. My wedding is going to be outdoors. Is brass music a good choice for an outdoor wedding? Brass wedding music is especially suited for an outdoor ceremony, or any large event. Traditional wedding music instruments like the organ, string quartet, or flute/harp duo can't fill a large space without amplification. This affects the sound. Brass instruments need no amplification, and have a bolder, richer, more impactful sound than a string quartet. My wedding is indoors, but the church is large. How will brass wedding music sound in a space like this? Our brass wedding music is ideal for cathedrals, large churches, and ballrooms. Again, smaller instruments require amplification, which cheapens the musical experience. Ultimately, the size of the hall or outdoor area and how many people are there will affect how the instruments sound. When we discuss your wedding day, we'll tell you what to expect in the actual space where we'll be playing. How much does it cost for you to play at my wedding ceremony? Depending on the distance from New York City and whether or not you choose to have brass wedding music during the cocktail reception, charges range from $300 to $1,500. How much do you require for a deposit? Twenty percent is required when you reserve the date; the balance is due on or before your wedding day. What geographic areas do you serve? We perform in the five boroughs of New York City, plus Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut. For how long will you play at my wedding? We typically perform wedding ceremony music that includes: - Prelude while your guests are being seated - Two- or three-tune processional music - Music during the ceremony - Recessional tune - Postlude (music as your guests leave) - Cocktail hour music (light jazz) is often added because it provides a tasteful, elegant accompaniment for the period before your guests are seated for the reception.
