David Burns--singing guitarist Acoustic Guitarist from Long Beach, CA

Perhaps best known for his work with Disneyland's acclaimed Celtic / Americana-- and multiple award winning-- band Sligo Rags, highly respected singer/songwriter/guitarist David Burns has been active in the Los Angeles music scene for over 30 years. Dave has been featured in Flatpicking Guitar Magazine; and the band was named one of the top 10 acoustic acts in Los Angeles by Folkworks Magazine. Additionally, he has played guitar, banjo, and mandolin in countless bluegrass, Americana, and Celtic bands. Dave's solo repertoire reflects the folk-rock tradition that marked his formative years; and as such includes the songs of Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Van Morrisson, Jim Croce, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, to name a few; but extends to include Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty covers; and contemporary artists such as Mumford and Sons and Cage the Elephant. Acoustic versions of tunes by The Smiths and The Cure round things out a bit. Having said that-- he can and will perform any tune he is asked to learn for any prospective client. Cheers!
