The Dancing Melodies Dance Band from Gainesville, FL

The Mellow-D's is a unique blend of old and new styles. The band started out as easy an l listening swing/standards outfit then later added blues and a wide variety of music from Ray Charles,Sam Cook, to Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.WE have recently added and recorded Motown, 70's 80's and some 90's dance music to compliment our sets. We found ourselves being asked to play at weddings an numerous events from top 40 dance to blues and so we had to customize our sets to accommodate the event we were entertaining. Eventually we had to learn many styles of music to broaden our horizons. The band has up to six pieces depending on the venue. Any one evening there could be Guitar,bass, Sax,drums and piano fronted by Suzanne Smith and Don Austin two of the most talented singers in North central Florida.
