String Quartet of Northern Virginia LLC is comprised of professional musicians from the Washington DC metropolitan area. With decades of experience, our conservatory and university trained musicians ensure the highest level of performance and our unparalleled personalized service truly sets us apart.
The core ensemble consists of two violinists, violist and cellist, and we collaborate with additional artists as requested by our clients including trumpet, flute, guitar, harp, soprano, tenor and string bass.
Our extensive repertoire list includes classical, romantic, contemporary, jazz, rock, pop and holiday selections to fit every occasion. We will accommodate special requests from our list and will acquire additional repertoire with sufficient notice. Our quartet and other ensembles (duos, trios and quintets) are all full-time professional musicians based in the Washington DC metro area and have been performing together since 2009. We enjoy playing many different styles of music and have over 400 pieces in our repertoire from which to choose. Whether a corporate event, dinner party, wedding or concert event, we perform at the highest level and pride ourselves on the personalized attention and professional service we provide to our clients.

We were exceptionally pleased with String Quartet of Northern Virginia who played for my daughter's wedding. We booked them about 8 months before the ceremony and they were very helpful to her in terms of music selection. They were also very accommodating when she wanted a more contemporary number for her recessional. Even without coming to the rehearsal (which they will do for an extra charge), they performed flawlessly and didn't miss any cues.

We hired String Quartet of Northern Virginia for our son's wedding/reception at our home, and we couldn't have been more pleased. They were punctual, professional, and played beautifully. Many guests commented to us afterwards on how much they enjoyed the music and on how much it contributed to making the event memorable. We would definitely hire them again if we needed musical accompaniment for a special occasion.
