The Louis Armstrong Society is a New Orleans jazz band dedicated to playing Louis Armstrong songs and great dixieland jazz. We seek to preserve great New Orleans jazz by honoring the most notable and influential individual of the genre: Louis Armstrong, aka Satchmo. You can hire members of the band if you're seeking a solo piano player, jazz trio, or a larger jazz group for an upcoming event. Additionally, the Louis Armstrong Society's original shows featuring the full band - Salute to Satchmo and Bliss, And All That Jazz - are available for concerts and other national performances. The Louis Armstrong Society was formed in 2001 during the celebration of Louis Armstrong's centennial birthday. The mission was simple: to share the legacy of great New Orleans jazz and the one-of-a-kind spirit of  Louis with people around the world. That spirit was based on Louis's perspective of life; although he played for kings and queens, heads of states, and crowds all over the world, he maintained a simple, joyous view of the world. Today the Society pays tribute to Louis in song, style, and joie-de-vivre!
