BJ and Company is an awesome family entertainment business started in 2003 by a NYS certified teacher. She lives in Mount Vision, NY and is a certified teacher and mother of eight grown children. Her clowning career had it's beginning in 1989 on a two week trip to Mexico. There she discovered a love for the art of mime. Since then she has participated in numerous mime intensive training weeks and has done countless performances and workshops. Ten years ago she attended her first clown training week. There she was able to combine all my mime background with a new clown face to develop my first clown characters, "BJ" and "PROF. WOMBOGGLE". Recently "DR. MERRY HEART" began working in local hospitals. Often when she comes to an event she often brings along a friend to help. Sometimes it's SPARKLES, a joyful junior clown, or PRINCESS KATE, or another face painter or balloon artist. Over the years she has: performed at schools, nursing homes, libraries, community events, fairs, etc. done walk-around clowning, face painting and balloon twisting combined science and clowning to teach kids helped lots of beginning clowns with some one-on-one tutoring participated in numerous mission trips to Latin America and Haiti done hundreds of Christian ministry performances in clown and mime taught numerous clown classes in after school programs through local arts councils worked on a regular basis for Clowns on Rounds in three hospitals received scholarships from WCA, COAI, the Catskill Teaching Center and the NYS Arts Council to attend Clown/Mime training organized and taught at Christian clowning and/or mime weekend workshops and this past year worked 1-2 days a week as a hospital clown, Dr. Merry Heart She also have a passion for sharing the Gospel!
